Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA)
Elite Ecology has extensive experience of preparing landscape and visual impact assessments for a wide range of development types for clients across the UK. Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) are often required as part of the planning process to clearly set out and explain the effects of a development upon the existing landscape and its appearance.
LVIA's are prepared as part of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) or as stand alone reports. The work comprises desk studies and site surveys to establish baseline conditions with the impacts of development proposals assessed against established criteria. The impact assessment is an iterative process as proposals are modified and adapted to accommodate design and mitigation recommendations.
